Talk About a Slap in the Face to Obama

As Shall Not Be Questioned points out:
I figured the Obama Administration was never going to live up to people’s high expectations. What I did not expect is that Congress would need to insert a funding amendment that would essentially tell the Administration that it can’t traffic firearms to drug cartels anymore.
And yes, that link takes you over to the press release with the proposed change to the law:
No funds made available under this Act shall be used to allow the knowing transfer of firearms to agents of drug cartels where law enforcement personnel of the United States do not continuously monitor or control such firearms at all times.
Can you imagine anything more shameful than having to pass a law that says our government will not knowingly transfer firearms to drug cartels?

  1. That's shameful enough in itself, but this is America, the land of the free, the home of the brave, leader of the free world, savior of the world at least three times in the 20th century.
It's as shameful as finding out Mother Teresa ran a brothel out of her Calcutta mission that catered to the highest in government.
I consider Mexico to have generally failed its poorest and weakest who are forced to come here to eke out a living denied to them in their own country, but in this matter Mexico is right to be livid.
