That Thumbscrew

Was M3 x 0.5.  Finding a thumbscrew that thread of enough length, and more importantly with anything but a flat end is pretty well impractical, but I have a more elegant solution to my problem.  The diagonal is a standard 2" diameter.  I can use a 2" diameter eyepiece extension tube that lets me put the diagonal in it, which uses a compression fit to hold everything down very solidly, and drill a hole in the extension tube that the standard thumbscrew goes through.  The extension tube will not fall out, and the compression fitting will hold the diagonal.  The extension tubes are cheap .
