"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." -- Rom. 8:28
Not that long ago, you could get one at Radio Shack. Nowadays it's harder, at least the "9v battery connector" part is. Here is a 12vdc-->9vdc converter, and there are others in the "similar items" below:
Hope that helps- it's getting harder all the time to adapt "old tech," so that it can still be used. (That's why I no longer work as a stereo repairman.)
Looked on Amazon, found 12v to 5 v converters. I wonder if suppliers for model rockets or recreational drones might have something? Maybe check at Greybar Electric?

Here are 9v battery connectors, but of course you can buy a pile of them for about the same as you pay for one:

I Googled "12v to 9v converter cigarette lighter" to find that.
Earlier results were mostly buck converters for circuits.
Looked on Amazon, found 12v to 5 v converters. I wonder if suppliers for model rockets or recreational drones might have something? Maybe check at Greybar Electric?
ReplyDeleteI understand the cigarette lighter connection, but am unclear as to what the 9vdc side looks like. Can you elucidate?
ReplyDeleteWithout knowing the current (amperes or milli-amperes), the answer cannot be answered.
ReplyDeleteHow ever, "9 volt car adapter" will show you examples.
DC Car Adapter Charger Cord 9V
ReplyDeleteThis appears to have the right ends. Doesn't appear to convert to 9V.

I dunno about Amazon, but Google found me this on the first try:

And then, on Amazon, this, after a few pages of non-battery-plugs:

Seems there are a lot of 12V to 9V converters. What they don't have is the 9V battery connector.
ReplyDeleteScavenge the connector from an old transistor, radio or just buy one here:

Solder it onto the leads from the converter, if you don't mind that kind of project.
Sorry to be nosey, but what are you trying to plug in? Maybe that would allow us to offer better solutions...
