My granddaughter attends a Christian school, and last night there was a musical production at her school.  There were hundreds in the audience.  I briefly found myself wondering how many people were armed in the event of a mass murder situation.  Then I noticed a uniformed Canyon County sheriff's deputy there.  Perhaps he was one of the parents who didn't have time to change after work, but I have a sneaking suspicion someone at the sheriff's office has figured out that large public events, especially at a Christian school, might be an especially tempting target for ISIS lone wolves.

UPDATE: Father of one of the children in the production.  Still glad to have him there.
