Road Rage. Crossbow. Loincloths & Swords. Not A 14th Century News Report.

Oh my.
Police arrested a man yesterday evening for allegedly driving erratically, then threatening another motorist with a crossbow during a road rage outburst.
And a reminder that as peaceful as Idaho is, when something goes wrong, it goes weird.  From the July 12, 2012 Idaho Statesman:
Police were called to the temple at 1615 W. Martha St. just before 9 a.m. by an employee who said a man wearing a loin cloth over a pair of shorts tried to enter the temple while carrying a Samurai-style sword and a dagger. An argument ensued when the employee told the man he couldn’t come in while carrying the weapons. That’s when police say Arnold threatened the temple employee, which led to the aggravated assault charge, before walking away.
It was when police arrived minutes later that officers said they saw Arnold walking back to the temple. Police said they ordered Arnold, who was wearing the sword and dagger on his waist, to lay on the ground. Police say Arnold refused, reached for the sword, and started pulling it out of a sheath when an officer used a Taser to knock him down, according to reports.
As the article reminded everyone, it is perfectly legal to carry a sword here, as long as it isn't concealed.

As Indiana Jones reminded us, never bring a sword to a gun fight.
