Changing Your Orientation

In XY, get your mind out of sex, politics,  or worst of all sexual politics. 

My mill has limited travel in the Y direction.   This part I am attempting to cut in an arc.
And yes, it looks like hell.   I ran out of room in Y.  I have historically oriented my mill vise like this:
But if I make the long axis parallel to the table (X-axis).  I have a lot more travel before hitting the stops.  The mill vise is held in the T-slots by these clamps that I made from 90 degree steel:
They will not fit in the end clamp areas at the ends:
So I have make new ones.  This is part of why machining anything you can buy is seldom cost-effective.
 
UPDATE: Cutting these steel clamps, even with a carbide endmill, is really slow.
