Nice column by Ben Shapiro about how the left is abandoning the idea that free speech is a good idea,  because it is now being used to defend the right to not bake gay wedding cakes,  and to not be forced to subsidize the Democratic Party through compulsory union dues.  Pretty obviously,  they never supported few speech except as a means to their ends.   You may recall Susan Sontag's defense of Cuba's totalitarianism by observing that they did not need free speech,  because they already had socialism.
