Machining

I mentioned that I needed a way to get the Sherline rotary table at a 90 degree angle for doing 120 degree angles on the side of round objects.

You can see the steel plate held to the bed.  Two 8-32 bolts hold the table to the plate.  It is stable enough that it really does not need the hold downs.  I am just cautious.  The disc is held internally by a chuck on the rotary table.

Two 8'32 screws is a little marginal for that, I would think. Unfortunately, this may only be confirmed with a loss of position control while machining, typically. THAT is damaging to parts and tooling.
