Strange Notion of Fascism

2/2/17 Breitbart:

Left-wing actress Sarah Silverman took to social media late Wednesday and called for a military coup against the Trump administration.
“WAKE UP & JOIN THE RESISTANCE. ONCE THE MILITARY IS W US FASCISTS GET OVERTHROWN. MAD KING & HIS HANDLERS GO BYE BYE,” Silverman wrote to her nearly 10 million Twitter followers.
And Trump is a fascist?  18 USC 2385:

Whoever knowingly or willfully advocates, abets, advises, or teaches the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying the government of the United States or the government of any State, Territory, District or Possession thereof, or the government of any political subdivision therein, by force or violence, or by the assassination of any officer of any such government; or
Whoever, with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of any such government, prints, publishes, edits, issues, circulates, sells, distributes, or publicly displays any written or printed matter advocating, advising, or teaching the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying any government in the United States by force or violence, or attempts to do so; or
Whoever organizes or helps or attempts to organize any society, group, or assembly of persons who teach, advocate, or encourage the overthrow or destruction of any such government by force or violence; or becomes or is a member of, or affiliates with, any such society, group, or assembly of persons, knowing the purposes thereof—
Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both, and shall be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof, for the five years next following his conviction.
Would love to see a prosecution.

  1. They've really mastered the Doublethink, haven't they!

Here the actual fascists are rioting, looting, burning, destroying property and beating people up, but it's OK because they yell "Anti-Fascists!" while they're doing it.

And while they're beating people (esp. old folks and women) they yell, "Peaceful Protest!" like that makes it so.

They're following George Orwell's 1984 instruction manual precisely, aren't they! Oh, you say it isn't an instruction manual? They don't seem to think so!

  2. what I liked is her automatic belief that the military will support them. Her friends under Obama did so much to undermine moral the military wouldn't support them for a trillion dollars. Furthermore, the Army takes an oath of obedience to the Federal government. As one Army commander put it, the Army will stay on the fence and not take sides.

  3. Lemme see if I have this right... This stupid tw*t thinks that the military is going to be on her side?

The same military that's been downsized, disrespected, and over-tasked for the last 8 years, and which just witnessed their new commander-in-chief take the time out of his day to go down to Dover and welcome the casket of the first casualty of his term? Does this stupid b****h have any clue at all just how hated she and all her ilk are, by the majority of the armed forces, and how much more likely it is that that military would happily be putting down the riots and insurrections her sort have been encouraging, and would likely do so with gusto and glee...?

These people are truly too stupid to live. They keep this up, and that particular state may well change with a quickness...

  5. Mr. Gibson said: "...the Army takes an oath of obedience to the Federal government." I beg to differ slightly: I think the obedience is to the Constitution, not to the Federal government directly. The oath I took stated "I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same;..." If we are issued unlawful orders, we are duty-bound to disobey them, therefore our obedience is most directly to the Constitution/law, not the government.
Is there a lawyer in the audience who can clarify further and indicate whether I misunderstand?
