Samsung Link

Samsung Link lets you share files between PC and Samsung smartphones through WiFi, but so slowly that using a USB connection makes more sense. There is supposed to be a Windows Explorer method of copying files, but I don't see it.

  1. I use the free (lite) version of the WebSharing app. It makes your phone a server you access via any browser. Lets you upload & download files which is what I want.

  2. I have been using Kies Air for some time now and it's been really useful. See: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.swift.app.kiesair&hl=en

  3. I use AirDroid for moving files between my phone and my PC. It's worked well for me in managing items on the phone, even old text message logs.

  4. Skip all that proprietary crap. Just install an ftp client app.

  5. AirDroid insisted it would only work with rooted Androids.

  6. Clayton, my phone isn't rooted and works fine with Airdroid. There is some sort of optional or bonus feature in the app that only works with rooted phones but the regular app works fine with my unrooted phone.

  7. What do you run on the PC side? Any ftp server.
