I May Be Driving to Tennessee After All

Our son had offered to chauffeur the dogs in Rhonda's car; but he changed jobs recently and might not be available.

Also the hip problems that were making driving painful for Rhomda have alleviated a bit since she started working out at the gym. Several of you offered to share driving with me; i may take advantage of your generous offers if you are still available when the great migration happens.

Moving all the guns and ammo will be far simpler by car

  1. I have watched the evolution of these plans, and I keep thinking... I don't like to trust ANYTHING to the US post office. I have had them lose important stuff, even when I paid extra for tracking. I also know people who work - or worked - for the USPS. A few are good people. A couple are idiots.

As for long drives... take your time, and stop frequently. Have music and or audio-books you like (or can agree on). Stop and see the sights you pass. (The Truman library. The Oklahoma Bombing Memorial. The world's largest frying pan, whatever...)

  2. Plus one for driving. I long ago decided that I just won't do airports anymore, excepting the very rare opportunity to skip the nonsense and get on a private plane. If I can drive it in a couple of days, fine. If not, I just don't go.

  3. I think I offered originally to share driving, or convoy, whatever. The offer still stands, if it doesn't conflict with some unavoidable work commitment (which are rare).

    1. Thank you. My wife is convinced that readers making this offer are serial killers or something. I am unclear how 6to persuade her. Are you a member of the "Not a Criminal Club?"

    2. I think so, various parking tickets in my career and a speeding ticket in 1983.
