Firearms News (which used to be Shotgun News before they decided they didn't want me to write columns for them anymore) has FN's newest gun on it, the M249S, a semiauto, civilian legal version of the M249 light machine gun. Yes, belt fed.
The gun control crowd has relied on the similarity in appearance of AR-15s and AK-47s to the full auto "weapons of war" to bamboozle much of the population (including many gun owners) to think they are trying to ban automatic weapons. What will this do? I am hard pressed to see what it provides. AR-15s are useful militia weapons. But a semiauto beltfed?

Zombie Apocalypse?
ReplyDeleteThat does seem like a bad idea. Who wants to have one, anyway? Belt fed?
ReplyDeleteI guess this is probably a civilian of a light machine gun they make.
