I Feel for NYC
But this MSN article shows why they are dropping like flies. We may be uncivilized country bumpkins, but we do not regularly gather in crowds of thousands to get to work.

ReplyDeleteOh wait! I live in the Phoenix area. Valley Metro doesn't even change their schedules until Monday. They do say "Valley Metro requests that public transit use is limited to essential or critical trips. " which probably means nothing at all!
Fortunately, few people use public transit here anyway. Our super-expensive light rail covers only a small part of the valley - almost the whole place is suburban. It does connect downtown (with its universities) with Tempe (with the US's largest university - ASU).
