October 14th, 1885. Twenty years later there was a small pox epidemic in Arkansas that took my Great Grandfather. I have wondered why, after almost a century of existence of a vaccine, such epidemics still could occur in the western world.
But then again, almost two decade into the 21 century, people are embracing 19 century ignorance.
