Still Trying to Figure Out How This Gal Can Be This Stupid and Feed Herself

8/8/18 CNN interview with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez:
CORTEZ: So, first of all, the thing that we need to realize is people talk about the sticker shock of Medicare for all. They do not talk about the sticker shock of our -- of the cost of our existing system.
You know in a Koch Brothers-funded, you know, study, if any study's going to try to be a little bit slanted, it would be one funded by the Koch brothers. It shows that Medicare for all is actually much more -- is actually much cheaper than the current system that we pay right now.
And let's not forget that the reason that the Supreme Court upheld the Affordable Care Act is because they ruled that each of these monthly payments that everyday American make is a tax. And so, while it may not seem like we pay that tax on April 15th, we pay it every single month or we do pay at tax season if we don't buy, you know, these plans off of the exchange.
So, we're paying for this system. We -- Americans have the sticker shock of healthcare as it is, and what we're also not talking about is, why aren't we incorporating the cost of all the funeral expenses of those who died because they can't afford access to healthcare? That is part of the cost of our system. [emphasis added]
It appears that Medicare recipients never need funerals.  My, that's a relief!  I am never going to die!

Perhaps she means premature deaths, but even then, "no one get out of here alive."   Is no one on the left even a little embarrassed by this idiocy?

Feed herself? How does she remember to breathe?

When I moved to texas I had to get new insurance because Blue Cross didn't operate in Texas. The insurance I got through the exchange included two separate insurances that actually covered death and dismemberment so I was covered for artificial limbs. But then I was required to buy new insurance the next year because of required changes in Obama care. That insurance covered such things as maternity care for a bachelor. It also covered what the two other policies covered. Now I am over insured in death because of the other policies, but if I shut them down I get nasty grams for dropping Obama Care requirements (even if I am alternatively covered). Wonderful world.

Also, love the fact its a tax. My tax return was held by the IRS because I didn't submit the Obama Care documents. But that special form comes from the Exchange which wouldn't send them to me for an undisclosed reason. Ever try to force one government agency to send a document to another government agency when first agency only has a web sight and no customer service number.

They are not embarrassed if it means they get elected or re elected.
In the Frederick Forsythe novel, "The Odessa File", the forger's philosophy on documents was different from his parents' philosophy. He classed documents into two categories, those that worked and those that did not. It was of no concern to him if some of the working documents were printed on a different printing press.
