Two Bumper Stickers I Saw Recently In Boise

One was the coiled rattlesnake "Don't Tread on Me" and the other simply said, "Shut Up and Train."  Clear implication was that talking about rebellion against our corrupt government is stupid and dangerous; just be ready to take direct action.  Discouraging, isn't it?  And it wasn't on a beater of a car; it was a pretty new one, although not something that you might expect the 1% to own.  (Why would the 1% want to rebel anyway against this corrupt system?)

UPDATE: A reader says that this slogan is often associated with fitness training.  Perhaps I just put together two bumper stickers in a way that made sense to me!

  1. "Shut up and train" sounds like a fitness slogan. Sure enough, a google image search turned up numerous variations, all fitness-oriented.

  2. Sounds like a slogan which needs to be adopted by other groups.
