Sleep Mode

My PC, not me.  The SAMBA share worked perfectly for a few minutes then went down.  It turns out when Windows puts your PC to sleep, it disables network activity.   Under advanced power settings are controls thst allow you to set how much power saving to do on wireless connection.   This also explains why waking it up causes all my emails to suddenly retrieve
