Learning to Use Registax

This is a program for stacking multiple astronomical images to minimize noise and produce really high quality images.  My camera produces MOV files.  Registax does not handle those.  So I opened it in VideoStudio and converted to an AVI file.  Registax doers not like compressed AVI files.  So the next step was to use PIPP to convert compressed AVI file to a swarm of TIF images.

Registax is stacking now, but slowly.  Time for an Octacore!  Perhaps the video has too much jumping for Registax to handle.  I will edit off the start and closing shake.

Okay, I think I successfully stacked a bunch of JPGs and like the scene in Blow-Up, the final product exposed the alien base.
