Always a Sucker for Time Travel Movies

And this one opens and closes with some deep thoughts.  Live life like it really matters.  Set in Australia, but so much of it looks like America including an American-style diner, that I was briefly confused.  This is apparently suddenly trendy because of the show Diners, Drive ins, and Dives.

  1. Watched it last night and enjoyed it, but the golf ball thing was confusing.

Why was he hitting the ball - was it supposed to cross the lake? Were they trying to say he drowned retrieving the ball?

Made so sense to me at all. Didn't ruin the movie for us, but it seemed ridiculous.

  2. IMDB says the diner scene is in the US.

  3. You might enjoy streaming the South Korean TV series "Signal." Time travel (well, at least of information) plays a major part.

Also, like other South Korean TV shows, it has no political correctness, which is very refreshing.

Of course, you'll want to use subtitles since it is in Korean.

  4. Hank: Yes he drowned trying to get the golf ball. Hence the gift to be opened the following day.

  5. wb: Film made in 2012. The current Down Under craze is post-2016.
