Bluetooth Headphones

I have some wired headphones for my cellphone, but they are sufficiently annoying because of wires that the bluetooth earwigs are getting attractive.  I am sure all of you are ahead of the curve on this.  Experiences?

I have the GREATEST BESTEST most wonderful experience.

No cell phone. Try it.

I have a Trekz Titanium headset (link - https://aftershokz.com/products/trekz-titanium) that you can have if you want them.

They're bone conduction, so if that's not what you're after then they're a no go. They work, and are less than a year old.

I used them and they work fine, I no longer need them since I got hearing aids that can connect to my phone.

Just let me know by posting here and then we can work out the details.

What are bone conduction headphones? Do they shake your teeth loose?

Rogue14: Could you mail them to 36 Sunburst Rd., Horseshoe Bend, ID 83629? I will reimburse you for postage. If they work for me, awesome.

They don't have speakers per se, they touch right in front of your ear and the vibrations conduct through the jaw. They work quite well, leave your ear open to ambient sounds, which I found either nice or awful, depending on the environment. In a crowd, not so much. Around the house or in the car, quite nice to be able to hear things going on around you.

I'll drop them in the mail and you can give them a try.

I've had several pairs of BT headphones, still use them a lot, much better than wires. The pair I use the most is the lightest & smallest, it's made by Sylvania & I got it very cheap online. Model SBT-214. I like it because it sounds good but lets me hear outside sounds as well.

When I'm at home I often use BT speakers too, I have three of them but my favorite is the Sony SRS-XB10. Small, reasonably waterproof & lasts a long time between charges, I listen to music on it & when I get a call it's like speakerphone but much better sound.

I have used a Jawbone brand Bluetooth head set (one ear but you can get sterio) for probably 15 to 20 years now and have loved it. Basically since they came out. Great noise cancelling on the microphone and good sound quality.

Clayton: Yes I do (actually my wife's car; I have a truck), but they are actually useful and never interrupt or distract me. After nearly 60 years, I can still count on one hand the number of times I wished for a cell phone. What on earth would I use it for? I already have a door stop.

Jeff: cellphone uses: callimng someone to tell them you will be late to an event; coordinating where to find someone in a crowded place; verifying address of a place you cannot find; checking your email when away from home; calling 911 to report a crime in progress. And that's without using a browser! I delayed getting one until Nokia gave me one as a consolation prize for a very bad startup acquisition price. They are very useful.

Yeah, but I've never done any of that, have no need to, and don't intend to. It's nearly impossible for me to think of a need for a cell phone beyond calling the phone co. to tell them the land line ain't working, which is very rare and not enough to justify it.
