Ordinary Men

Netflix has a documentary of this title built around Christopher Browning's book by this title.   It was profoundly disturbing. Like Leni Yahil's The Holocaust: The Fate of European Jewry, Browning points out the officers in charge of the Einsatzgruppen were highly educated (usually with two doctorates) cultured middle class men.  

The parallels to today are worrisome: the younger members of Police Reserve Battalion 101 were more likely to carry out orders to exterminate Jews because they had been educated in hatred their entire lives.  Those a bit older and thus not victims of K-12 education under National Socialist rule were more likely to refuse those orders.  

The Poison Ivy League and their state university peers have been doing this same job of educating the young to hate and avoid nuanced examination of claims.  They are producing the same highly credentialed intellectuals that can sway those of weak moral character to do evil.  If the current Democratic Party ever gets back in control with their current rage, Jews and those of us who qualify as Jew-adjacent will need to be ready to deal with this before they start herding us into boxcars or bullet trains to central Nevada for re-education.  (I am kidding about bullet trains; they will never get them working soon enough for extermination.)

The Jews Are Doing It Again

Iranian government says U.S. and Israel are controlling the weather over Iran causing drought.  Instapundit.com points out this usually means you are a D.C. City councilman. 

Winning comment over there:

"The suspect in the arson attack at the Governor’s Residence targeted Josh Shapiro due to his perceived stance on Palestine, according to a search warrant obtained by PennLive.

"The suspect, Cody Balmer, called 911 following the attack early Sunday, identified himself by name and told operators Shapiro needs to know he “…will not take part in his plans for what he wants to do to the Palestinian people,” the search warrant written by police said.

"Balmer continued, saying he needed to “stop having my friends killed” and that “...our people have been put through too much by that monster,” according to the warrant, which says Balmer’s intonation and cadence sounded like he was possibly reading from a script."

The antisemitism of the left is so troubling because it does not fit with the Republican/Trump narrative of "literally Hitler."  Worse, Balmer's name and appearance do not suggest that the Palestinians are his people.  The left's willingness to identify with whoever is this year's designated victim group shows how destructive identity politics is: you do not even need to be a member to acquire membership status (at least in your own mind).

Ignorance of History Should Not Be An Excuse

A judge this week dismissed a malicious harassment charge against a pro-Palestine protester who was arrested over the summer after a confrontation with a Jewish man.

Initially, two protesters were charged in a case that raised questions about the limits of free speech amid contentious nationwide disputes over the Israel-Hamas war. The first protester had their case dismissed in August.

“This case involves the paramount political issue of our time: The dispute over whether what is happening in Gaza right now … is in fact a genocide,” the defense said in court Thursday. “The stakes for free speech could not be higher.”

The confrontation and arrests in Boise illustrate the tension over violence and war in Israel and Palestine....

The man was dining downtown on an Eighth Street patio, wearing a kippah and tzitzit, traditional Jewish clothing items. The protesters were chanting “Free Palestine,” “You’re killing babies,” “America will fall,” and “Israel will fall,” according to previous testimony.

The two also allegedly said, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” which many view as a call for Israel’s destruction.

The man previously testified that he made eye contact with the two, stood up and as they approached, told them to leave. The group argued. The protesters left but quickly returned, according to previous testimony.

“But then they came back. And why did they come back? There was a Jew, visibly, a Jew, who was telling them that I didn’t appreciate them and they should leave,” the man previously said in court. “So why did they come back? They came back for me and my wife.”

He got up from the patio, moved toward them and told the protesters to leave, according to previous testimony. One of the protesters allegedly hit him in the nose with a phone. That protester’s charge was dismissed this week.

The prosecution argued this week that the protester’s chants were chosen to anger someone who was Jewish.

“False accusations of Jews killing babies has been a calling card of antisemitism since long before Israel even existed, and that’s common knowledge,” the prosecution said in court.

However, the defense argued this isn’t something everyone knew. Both the judge and the defense said that the protests were against Israel’s actions relating to child deaths. Palestinian authorities have counted thousands of children among the dead, according to the Associated Press.

 

Aren't You Glad Racism is Only a Republican Thing?

If this was from a medieval European event, I would not be surprised but in America with the active support of thr political party that controls the White House and is heavily backed by American Jews?

I am horrified.  Horns. Blood dropping from fangs?  Where is St. Hugh of Lincoln?  From Soiked.

I am increasingly wondering if the First Amendment broad interpretation (one that some Framers disputed) might need some revisions.   Yes, I know much of this blood libel stuff is from privileged elite kids but without the large Muslim communities,  Democrats would not be ignoring this whoring after their votes.
