"The National Institutes of Health will look into an $89 billion, 25-year grant awarded to the Alliance for Advancing Biomedical Research in the last days of President Joe Biden’s administration.

"The nonprofit “operate[s] exclusively for the benefit of” the University of California system, according to its tax filings. However, the nonprofit, formed in 2022, has never raised a dime nor spent a dime.

"Furthermore, the California-based nonprofit would operate the lab at Maryland’s Fort Detrick, taking the contract away from Leidos Biomedical Research. As reported by The Washington Free Beacon, Leidos “held that role for about 30 years.”

Fort Detrick?  You know, the place where our government did biological weapons research.  As the article points out, University of California has a poor history with Chinese researchers returning home, presumably having learned nothing in the process.

US diplomats in China were forced to undergo anal swab tests for COVID-19, according to US State Department records obtained by Judicial Watch.

There is no reason for both nasal and anal swabs.  This is a reminder of the contempt that the CCP has for Biden's diplomats.  And China retains most-favored nation status, why?

I am pleased to see that Trump's ending of sales of latest generation chip production equipment has not been repealed by Biden.  Maybe China has less ownership than it seems.  They are attempting to acquire Japanese-made chips by having overseas Chinese buy 20 at a time to avoid anyone looking to see if they are going to China.  To buy enough chips to build a thousand anti-ship missiles....  This may take a while.

China has been cracking down on its citizens moving non-Chinese currency abroad because they are beginning to suffer such serious cash reserve problems that they may not be able to import the food and raw materials that they need.

China's Food Crisis

 

China is importing vast quantities of food because farmland is being confiscated for industrial plants and housing projects.  This is driving up world food prices and making China increasingly dependent on the rest of the world.  They may be more readily injured by sanctions than is immediately obvious.
