Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and the Democratic National Committee have agreed to pay $113,000 to settle a Federal Election Commission investigation into whether they violated campaign finance law by misreporting spending on research that eventually became the infamous Steele dossier.
That is according to documents sent on Tuesday to the Coolidge Reagan Foundation, which had filed an administrative complaint in 2018 accusing the Democrats of misreporting payments made to a law firm during the 2016 campaign to obscure the spending.

The Clinton campaign hired Perkins Coie, which then hired Fusion GPS, a research and intelligence firm, to conduct opposition research on Republican candidate Donald Trump’s ties to Russia. But on FEC forms, the Clinton campaign classified the spending as legal services.
“By intentionally obscuring their payments through Perkins Coie and failing to publicly disclose the true purpose of those payments” the campaign and DNC “were able to avoid publicly reporting on their statutorily required FEC disclosure forms the fact that they were paying Fusion GPS to perform opposition research on Trump with the intent of influencing the outcome of the 2016 presidential election,” the initial complaint had read.
I think they should also repay the government for the costs of the Mueller investigation.

A lawyer whose firm represented Hillary Clinton's campaign during the 2016 presidential election was indicted Thursday by special counsel John Durham on a single charge of making a false statement to the FBI.
Michael Sussmann, an attorney for the Perkins Coie law firm who previously represented the Democratic National Committee following the hacking of its servers by Russia during the 2016 campaign, is accused of lying "about the capacity in which he was providing allegations to the FBI" when he met with a top lawyer from the bureau in September 2016 and provided him information about potential ties between a Russian bank and computer servers in the Trump Organization.
"Specifically, SUSSMANN state falsely that he was not doing his work on the aforementioned allegations "for any client," which led the FBI General Counsel (James A. Baker) to understand that SUSSMANN was acting as a good citizen merely passing along information, not as a paid advocate or political operative," prosecutors write in the indictment.
They allege instead that Sussmamn intentionally misled the FBI general counsel because he was acting at the time on behalf of an unnamed tech executive, an "U.S. internet company" and Hillary Clinton's Presidential Campaign.
According to his handwritten notes, former Central Intelligence Agency Director Brennan subsequently briefed President Obama and other senior national security officials on the intelligence, including the "alleged approval by Hillary Clinton on July 26, 2016 of a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisors to vilify Donald Trump by stirring up a scandal claiming interference by Russian security services."
Former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith pleaded guilty in federal court in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, admitting that he altered an email that he used to apply for a FISA warrant against former Trump-campaign adviser Carter Page.
Clinesmith changed the email, which was originally sent to him by the CIA and which he was forwarding to the FISA Court, to make it seem as though the agency did not consider Page to be an intelligence source, when in fact Page had worked as a source for the CIA on several occasions. However, Clinesmith told the court that while he altered the email, he believed that Page was not a source.

Adlai Stevenson failed against Eisenhower in 1952, and repeated in 1956. There was the same arrogant smugness back then. At one point, a supporter told Stevenson, "All the smart people are voting for you." His equally smug response, "Madam, I need a majority."
IG refers five FBI employees for investigation, as more anti-Trump messages revealed
MYE, or "Midyear Exam," was the code used in the FBI to refer to the investigation into Clinton’s private email server.
“Some of these text messages and instant messages mixed political commentary with discussions about the Midyear investigation, and raised concerns that political bias may have impacted investigative decisions,” the report read.
The report noted that it was specifically concerned about text messages exchanged between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page that “potentially indicated or created the appearance that investigative decisions were impacted by bias or improper considerations.”
Strzok and Page, who were romantically involved, both served for a short period of time on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation team. Strzok was reassigned following the revelations of his anti-Trump texts. Page resigned last month.
But while many of those texts were made public in late 2017, the IG report revealed a new one in which Strzok vowed to "stop" Trump from becoming president -- and made clear that as many as five total FBI employees exchanged politically charged messages. "The text messages and instant messages sent by these employees included statements of hostility toward then candidate Trump and statements of support for candidate Clinton," the report said.
The report revealed instant messages between unnamed agents, labeled “Agent 1” and “Agent 5,” discussing their jobs in August 2016.
“I find anyone who enjoys [this job] an absolute f---ing idiot. If you don’t think so, ask them one more question. Who are you voting for? I guarantee you it will be Donald Drumpf,” Agent 1 sent.
“I forgot about drumpf…that’s so sad and pathetic if they want to vote for him,” Agent 5 responded. “Someone who can’t answer a question. Someone who can’t be professional for even a second.”
In September, Agent 1 and 5 conversed again, bashing Trump supporters as “retarded.”
“I’m trying to think of a ‘would I rather’ instead of spending time with those people,” Agent 5 sent.

How stupid do you have to be to exchange messages like this, knowing they can be pulled up for later examination? The IG's report is here and juicy. FBI agents with no public information role talking to "journalists"; receiving gifts from those "journalists" (and not just sex). No matter how paranoid Trump is, the FBI was clearly engaged in criminal acts to subvert the election.

Former Hillary Clinton spokesman Jesse Ferguson blamed actress and political activist Susan Sarandon for Friday night’s strike on Syria.

Hillary Clinton fired back at her critics on the left late Friday, claiming that it was "sexism" that drove Democrats, in the days following the 2016 Presidential election, to tell her to keep quiet about what caused her devastating loss to now-President Donald Trump.
The failed Presidential candidate hissed directly at Democratic leaders in her speech: "They never said that to any man who was not elected."
"I was really struck by how people said that to me - you know, mostly people in the press, for whatever reason - mostly, 'Go away, go away,'" Clinton told a gathered crowd at Rutgers University, according to MSNBC. "And I had one of the young people who works for me go back and do a bit of research. They never said that to any man who was not elected. I was kind of struck by that."
But then again, they never had a man with the media so blatantly in their pocket going up against a man almost as vulgar as your husband and lose.
North Korea told South Korea it was willing to give up its nuclear weapons, opening the door for talks with the U.S. while raising suspicions that Kim Jong Un was employing another tactic to ease sanctions.
Kim told visiting envoys from Seoul that he was ready to suspend weapons tests and hold candid talks with the U.S. to normalize relations, if the safety of his regime was guaranteed, the South Korean government said Tuesday. In response, South Korean President Moon Jae-in agreed to meet Kim for a summit along their shared border late next month.
My friend Dave Hardy, a lawyer with substantial experience as both defense attorney and employee of the Swamp examines the indictment and concludes:
If the Independent Counsel's folks did their research, they must know that Count One is questionable at least, and the remaining counts look utterly invalid. Even if the Russians indicted booked flights back here to appear, and if a DC court were to conclude that it had jurisdiction over acts that occurred in Russia, the indictment would probably go down in flames. Which leaves only one explanation for it.
My guess is that Mueller wanted to show something for all the money and time and show that while Trump's people were at best pawns of Russian attempts to destroy us politically, but will soon close up shop.
Mueller ' s indictment alleges Russians organized both pro- and anti-Trump rallies to show distrust in our electoral system. The left just followed along, it appears.

I got into a food fight with a progressive over at The Hilland found out. that Americans are overwhelmingly progressive and that's why they voted for Trump:

In addition, the majority of Americans now support legalization of pot and marriage equality.
I decided that if he wants to believe that almost half the country supports single payer healthcare, illegal alien citizenship, free college, more gun control, repealing Heller and thus voted for Trump over the Empress: let him stay in his bubble and keep losing.
