My employer, College of Western Idaho, is about to offer a "bachelor of applied science in business administration." The state board of educstion approved this. Existing four-year institutions opposed it:
“Community colleges offering four-year degrees weakens the systemness of public higher education in Idaho,” Boise State University wrote in a letter to the board.
Systemness? "English is important but math is more importanter."
