Louie Schwartzberg's Waterfalls
I've mentioned before the nature porn that Louie Schwartzberg creates. There's a new one on Netflix called Waterfalls. I don't know if he makes money from these or if this is a tax dodge that lets a trust fund baby write off travel to exotic places as a business expense but the results are stunning. I recognize Yosemite Valley waterfalls, Igazu Falls, and Victoria Falls. Some others look like Hawaii. Unlike his other films which make use of time lapse photography, this film uses a similar technique with video to effectively integrate large numbers of frames to show a cumulative effect of the moving streams of water. Absolutely beautiful.
