Waterboarding

I really thought that was the upper end of what could be Called "not torture" because no permanent damage results and even this left me uncomfortable unless in a 24 "where's the nuke?" situation.  But this goes too far.

  1. We should be able to use waterboarding, in exceptional circumstances. After 9-11, it was used tens of thousands of times.

But only three of those times were on our enemies. The rest were on our soldiers at SERE school. When I attended SERE, they had other unpleasant ways to introduce us to 'enhanced interrogation' techniques - waterboarding came a few years later.

If we can do it to our own volunteers, we certainly should be able to do it to the really bad guys, when we have to get information.
