A Nice Touch

Rhonda and I are watching a 1990s series, Northern Exposure.  The premise is a New York City Jewish doctor is obligated to practice in Alaska to pay for his education.  (Many Midwestern cities have done this historically.  After five years, the hope is that he will get attached to the place, hopefully by matrimony and stay )

New York City Jew out of his element is the ongoing gag.  He is of course fiercely anti-hunting, but to understand it, he tags along and gets into it.  The dialogue is very much something that any hunter would find positive.  The gag of course is that he only wings one of the grouse and takes it back to his office for surgery.  The grouse becomes dinner.
