How does one store 70,000 digits in 262K bits? That's 3.6 bits/digit. Considered as an integer value (instead of a character string), a 7-digit phone number requires 24 bits. So that would work.
ReplyDeleteThere are a variety of compression schemes that do wonders. RLE was one such scheme.
