Camas County is a bit east of Boise. We went over there a couple of weeks ago looking for the blue camas explosion. Parts of it are more of a marsh:
What we found were sandhill cranes:

And here are the camas flowers we went to find. We're told that early settlers would see these at a distance, and mistake them for open water:
