Grant Co., Wash. (1924)
Before 02/21/1924: Someone shot to death three people and
wounded a fourth. Adding to the
confusion, the person sought for the crime committed suicide, but such a near
perfect lookalike (that one acquaintance identified as the wanted man) was arrested
and gave evasive answers as to who he was.
“Chief Dale says he is the first person he ever arrested who had absolutely
nothing in his pockets. Save for an accumulation
of dust and lint his pockets were absolutely empty.”
