I Have a New Cell Phone

For no apparent reason, Cricket was unable to get my Galaxy A20 to reliably ring.  It usually works.  For no apparent reason it sometimes turns off all notifications.   I just did a System Update and did a factory reset to clear all my personal data.

This was originally purchased from Verizon but we switched to Cricket and Verizon unlocked it.   When I advertise it on eBay is it unlocked?  Or is it now locked by Cricket?

I am becoming one of those crotchety old men ignorant of current technology.

  1. It should not have been locked by Cricket. Once Verizon unlocked it, that should be it.

  5. Once it's unlocked it doesn't become locked by moving to a new carrier. It's free to move to any carrier with compatible technology. The lock is for the initial sale. Keeps it from being activated on another carrier till your contact is up

  6. My phone stays attached to the wall with a cord. That way, most of the time I'm out of earshot of it.

  7. Don't you hate when that happens? I'm 72 and starting to act that way. Bummer!

Sorry, know less than you, much less than you, about technology.

  8. It should be unlocked, but you should also be able to go into the local Cricket store to find out.
