Did not notice that it was a IDE drive so they could not do it. So I will but a used desktop (they are available very cheekily on craigslist), put in a PCI parallel port, install the CNC linux on the hard drive and then use a USB to SATA adapter to transfer my files over.
GRRRR.
Have you thought about putting linux on a thumb drive, booting that, duping the Windows partition on a second drive.
