New York, NY (1888)
3/24/1888: A mother poisoned her three children with “Rough
on Rats” because of her poverty after the death of her husband. She had previously attempted to drown two of
them by jumping into the river with them.
Only after getting them back from an orphanage that had found homes for
them in the West did she commit these murders.
