Microsoft Technical Support calling to renew my Windows 10 key on my voicemail. When I called back, East Indian woman. Aren't there enough jobs there undercutting American workers in HP contractors?
They do not. Microsoft even has a page for you to report these frauds. A friend received such a call and was part way through letting them into her laptop when I pulled the connection before he could inject the virus and told the East Indian on the phone to get a real job.
A long time ago I told fellow workers at Boeing that they needed to re-instate the Spanish Inquisition for the guy/gal who caused half the facilities computers to get infected via the email system. What was the story the other day, some government worker looking at Porn on-line infected the entire US Geological Survey Network
I've read that they have taken over Microsoft. It's now an Indian company in all but the paperwork.

ReplyDeleteThat sure sounds like a scam to me. Why would Microsoft contact you out of the blue?

ReplyDeleteJames: Yes someone made a virus developer very rich at the expenses of the Geologic Survey. I hope they bill him for cleanup.
