The Monster Flat Screen TV Has an SVGA Port
And the Thinkpad does a nice job of using it in 1920x1080 mode.
For folks with low vision, monster flat screens actually make really nice monitors. I've been doing that for relatives for years and it's been very popular and spread among some of friends of friends. It sure beats integrated systems like the iMac where you can't get arbitrarily large screens.
If you use HDMI you get the better speakers of the TV, too. That's nice if you want to stream something up there (home videos, Netflix to not-smart TVs, etc).
