Cholesterol Numbers
I went to my GP yesterday to review my blood test results. The combination of weight loss and exercisear are paying off. Total cholesterol: 144 mg/dL, compared to 157 last year. My triglycerides are still too high 169 mg/dL, but better than last year's 194. Overall, I am below the average risk for heart disease for men.
Why is 169 better than 157 for triglycerides? Also, are you on statins, or is the improvement just weight loss and exercise?
ReplyDeleteGood catch. It was 194 last year.
