Depression and Stroke

Depression after stroke is quite common, and not just because you are suddenly disabled, byt because the brain dumps dopamine i response to the trauma.  I am definitely depressed.  I have a follow-up appointmrnt with my GP this morning, and akong with alternatives to brilinta, I will try and get a referral to a psychiatrist for anti-depressants.

  1. I am not a doctor.

I have found that taking 4000-8000 IU of vitamin D3 has done wonders for my outlook and happiness. It's cheap and easy. It's also safe if you add in some vitamin K2 as a cofactor. I like the Carlson D3 tabs that are 4000 IU each. For K2, I like LifeExtensions SuperK With Advanced K2 Complex. Both are at your fingertips via Amazon.

You are probably stuck inside during your recovery. Even if you have a solarium on your house, the glass will block the radiation that your skin needs to produce its own vitamin D. So, you likely need this supplement anyway.

    Give it a try.
