Record Gun Sales for March
FBI report here. 2,523,265 checks, so probably more than that number of guns sold. Almost like Americans don't trust their government to protect them. Since 1998, more than 233 million background checks!
"2,523,265 checks, so probably more than that number of guns sold."
I would think the opposite - no sale without a check, but a check might be made without a sale. (What if the check fails? Or the buyer withdraws?) There could be multiple weapons sold on one check, but that seems likely to be rare.
Not many checks fail. Usually <1%, I think. I am pretty sure a dealer will charge you for the check if you withdraw. My limited experience is you pay first.

ReplyDeleteAbout 1.5% of background checks fail.
DeleteAnd having spent 3.5 years selling guns, multi-gun sales are actually pretty common.
