My wife and i have toyed with the idea of renting a
small motor home for our cross-country trip with deranged doggies. While there are one-way rentals available, they are from high-demand cities to others in the same category: Los Angeles to Chicago, etc.
Do any small towable trailers have bed, stove, and toilet? The attraction of bringing home with us is the prospect of trying to get our dogs to not bark in our hotel rooms.

ReplyDeleteAn acquaintance of mine made several long-distance moves where he bought the moving truck (used), then sold it at the other end rather than renting one.
ReplyDeleteAnother option would be to find someone else to drive the vehicle back so you don't have to.
Buy a used RV of whatever size (get it inspected first), get it serviced and cleaned up, drive it out there (this solves your guns and ammo problem too), then sell it at a "loss".
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, a lot of the smaller towable RVs have stoves, beds and toilets depending on what you're towing them with.
