Do Not Panic

The more the Left shoots quiet intellectuals and illegal immigrants the more clear it is that they know that they have lost the battle for the hearts and minds of the American people.

One danger would be if anyone on our side starts responding violently to their provocations.  Civil War war would be a disaster.  The Democrats lost the last one but at enormous cost to both winners and lovers.

Civil war would have consequences far beyond our borders.  North Korea would invade South Korea.  China would invade Taiwan, leading to war with Japan which might well go nuclear.   Russia would likely go to war with NATO.  I doubt this would go nuclear until Polish troops reached the outskirts of Moscow.

There are a lot of other ugly regional battles that would likely turn hot.  There would be an enormous loss of life and economic destruction.

The border with Mexico would be open.  Tens of millions of illegals would come north.  I could see cartels exercising enough power to control California government.

We have this.  The progressives will continue the long line of political attacks because they have never made a persuasive argument for their ideas outside universities, Hollywood, and the legacy media.  There is no need to retaliate. Not every blue-haired, nose-ringed man who pretends he is a woman is a threat.

  1. The Democrats lost the last one...

Please don't indulge in the comforting distortion of blaming Democrats for the Civil War. While the majority of secessionists were Democrats, the majority of Democrats were unionists.

Lincoln's great adversary Senator Stephen Douglas said during the 1860 campaign that he was in favor of upholding every part of the Constitution - "and hanging every man who takes up arms against it." Douglas got nearly all Democrat votes outside the South. When Lincoln called for 75,000 volunteers to put down rebellion, Douglas told him he should call for 200,000.

Many prominent Democrats rallied to the colors.

Representative Dan Sickles (D-NY), a Tammany Sachem, raised a regiment of volunteers he led in battle. He rose to be a corps commander, and got his leg shot off at Gettysburg.

Former Senator James Shields (D-IL, D-MN) became a brigadier general and won a battle against Stonewall Jackson.

Thomas Meagher, who raised and led the celebrated Irish Brigade, was another NY Democrat.

George McClellan, Ben Butler, John McClernand, Ambrose Burnside, and William Rosecrans were Democrats who commanded major Union armies.

Lincoln himself said "If I were to get rid of all the officers who are Democrats, I should scarcely have an army left."

And also remember Secretary of War Edwin Stanton and Vice President Andrew Johnson, both Democrats.

    1. There were Democrats who did not join the Confederacy but many were like Clement Vallandingham: opposed to secession but not hostile to slavery.
