U S. v. Ayala (11th Cir. 2025)
I worked on this case. At trial, the judge ruled that the pistol office prohibition on carrying in a post office violated the Second Amendment. Unsurprisingly, Biden DOJ appealed.
My declaration was specific to post offices. Beyond that gets more difficult. Until recently, the only federal facilities were courthouses, military bases, and other clearly sensitive areas.
I am sure it applies across the 11th Circuit. Other circuits might follow it but are not obligated to do so. If other circuits come to a different conclusion, such a circuit split would likely get the Court to resolve the question.

Well, it was the 11th circuit. Does that mean it's nationwide or not?
