Sea Hunt
If you as ancient as me, you may recall this black & white TV series playing in syndication in the 1960s. As I looked back on my memories of it, I asked myself what sort of stories could have made Lloyd Bridges scuba driving worth watching. I just watched S1E1 on YouTube and it was really pretty good except for an aircraft company rep watching a military test flight from a private boat with a sailor aboard. Still an exciting story of underwater rescue
I remember that series. Lloyd Bridges played the part of the diver, Mike Nelson, that when you're seven years old (or at least when I was seven years old) it wasn't that clear what the guy's real name was. :O~
ReplyDeleteI learned to SCUBA dive at the Phoenix YMCA using a similar rig. Single tank, two hose regulator, Mae West emergency flotation vest, and get your weights right or fight buoyancy the whole dive. We didn't need wet suits diving in the Gulf of California.
