Why Are Students in Debt?
University of Pennsylvania president annual compensation above $22 million. That is $60,000 per day. If any corporate CEO was paid that well, the left would be screeching.
Astros second baseman José Altuve made $29M last year. Which he earned, IMO: after leading the Astros to World Series championships in 2021 and 2022, he got them to the League Championship in 2023, where he hit .313 with three home runs. BTW, he's the shortest player in baseball - just 5' 6".
As for CEOs: Exxon's CEO makes over $20M; Pfizer's made $21M in 2020; Ford's made $22M in 2021; Disney's made $32M in 2023.
