I would dismiss this as conservative propaganda. But no, Colorado Democrats have introduced a bill to tax you $25 per pet including invertebrates.  That ant farm?  How many ants are in there. That aquarium of tropical fish?  Have you counted them recently?  Are they up on their birth control?
