Carbide Tooling
To cut carbon fiber composite reliably without rapidly dulling tools, you use carbide cutting tools. So far I have bought .1065 drill for them tapping a 6-32 hole, a .2010" drill for tapping 1/4"-20 hole, a 1/4" carbide reamer to produce a very concentric very precisely sized hole for the 1/4"-20 tap. I am thrilled to be able to buy entirely U.S. and German tools. I like buying SpeedTiger's Taiwan-made products but they seem not to make much carbide
