Hydroelectricity is the most pollution free electricity source once you get past construction and even photovoltaic is likely no better
Wind power will become disfavored, too, once more wind turbines are built and the Environmentalists realize how noisy they are, and how it's bad for the environment due to dead birds who can't see the blades in time.
