War Factories

Great series.  This video about Soviet war factories is really worthwhile.   They discuss the amazing relocation of 1500 factories to the Urals away from German troops.  Even the biggest war factories were built in the U S. in the 1930s, disassembled, shipped to Soviet Union and reassembled by American engineers.

You can also see strong parallels to modern Russian incompetence in Ukraine. 

Nice explanation of how Soviet starvation of its population and U.S. and British aid persuaded Socialists in the West (such as the British Labour Party) to take the command and control model for economic development with horrible results.
