Maligning Fetterman while supporting Walker is how fascists reinforce otherism while signaling to their base who’s chosen to stay in their club. Their derision, abuse & ableism is a tool for breaking democratic norms while communicating “if you support us, we will protect you.”
If you are not up on your meaningless labeling: ableist is someone who think disabled is a limitation on one's ability to work. Speaking for people disabled by a stroke (although apparently less severely than Fetterman), I would not vote for me for U.S. Senate. Nor would I seek the job. I am painfully aware that I am operating at about 60% of my pre-stroke mental capacity.

When Mehmet Oz, the Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania, was trailing his opponent in polls and fundraising a few weeks ago, he resorted to a desperate tactic to get the upper hand in an ever-tightening race: leveraging ableism against a person with disabilities.
I immediately thought of the Walker Brigade, although they were not actually disabled. Still, why should ableism preclude the wheelchair bound and blind from service to their country in combat?
As a friend observed: "One big problem with Clown World is that it becoming difficult to satirize."
Have you heard Hershel Walker speak? He's not doing a whole lot better than Fetterman or Biden.
