How Are Idaho Schools?

There is a lot of complaining about Idaho being 50th in the nation in public schools.  We are 49th in spending per pupil but this report on National Assessment on Educational Progress shows that in 4th and 8th grade reading and math Idaho is above the national average.

Spending can help but it is not necessary.   The value that parents put on education and the commitment level of the teachers really matters.
