Where Do I Find...
Male to female 10-32 adapter with male end 3/16" long?
Called standoffs. None are the right length. I may need to machine them a bit shorter.
I've infrequently found need for the screw-shearing function of standard electrical stripper/crimper tools, but when I have they've worked fine to customize the length of small bolts.
Still not sure I understand the need. Your item is simply not long enough but no thread change is needed? As noted, you won't likely find one of those parts threaded the same on both ends. But if you can stand different threads, get one with the 10-32 male that you want, thread a good nut on it, cut it to your length with a fine tooth hacksaw or fine grinder, and back the nut off to clean up the cut threads. I've done that sort of thing thousands of times with complete success.
Weird animal. I checked 4 places and didn't find it.

ReplyDeleteI don't think you will likely find (or need) one that is 10-32 for both ends. What sizes/pitches are you using?
ReplyDeleteThe part that needs extension is 10-32. I suppose if I found a standoff male 0-32 and some other dimension female that could work.
